Article 1: General provisions
Veganlifestyle.be is an e-commerce website of GDI nv, VAT BE 0419.321.201, RPR Kortrijk. This web site offers its customers the opportunity to purchase the products in its webshop online.
These General Terms and Conditions (“terms and conditions”) apply to any order placed by a visitor to this e-commerce website (“customer”). When placing an order through the GDI nv web store, the customer must expressly accept these terms and conditions, thereby agreeing to the applicability of these terms and conditions to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions. Additional terms and conditions of the customer are excluded.
Article 2: Price
All prices stated are in EURO, always including Belgian VAT and all other taxes or duties to be borne by the customer.
The price stated refers exclusively to the articles as described word for word. The accompanying photos are for decorative purposes only and may contain elements not included in the price.
The prices listed are valid at the time of publication, after which they may be subject to change. Shipping costs are not included in these listed prices.
Article 3: Offer
Despite the fact that the online catalog and e-commerce website are composed with the greatest possible care, it is still possible that the information offered is incomplete, contains material errors, or is not up to date. Obvious mistakes or errors in the offer are not binding on GDI. GDI nv is only bound to a best-efforts obligation with regard to the correctness and completeness of the information offered. In no case is GDI nv liable for the advice it provides, for technical data provided by suppliers or manufacturers, or in the case of obvious material errors, typesetting, or printing errors.
If the Customer has specific questions about e.g. sizes, color, availability, delivery time or delivery method, we ask the Customer to contact our customer service department in advance.
The offer is always valid while supplies last and can be modified or withdrawn by GDI nv at any time. GDI cannot be held liable for the unavailability of a product. If an offer has a limited duration or is made subject to conditions, this will be explicitly stated in the offer.
Article 4: Online purchases
How to place an order?
You choose your favorite items and place them in your shopping cart.
To complete the order, click on ‘Shopping Basket’ at the top right and follow the steps below in the ordering and payment process:
- Fill in your personal details or log in if you are already registered
- Check your delivery address
- Select the desired payment method (bank transfer, bank card, bank app, …)
- check your data one last time and finalize the order
- after completion, the order will be confirmed by e-mail and carefully processed
GDI S.A. is entitled to refuse an order due to a serious shortcoming of the customer with respect to orders involving the customer.
Article 5: Delivery and execution of the agreement
Delivery is made by GLS and the goods, unless otherwise specified after confirmation email from GLS, will be delivered to the delivery address (provided by customer) after full payment of the order. The items will be delivered according to the instructions for each item.
Orders are shipped between Monday and Friday, legal holidays excluded. GDI nv strives to deliver the ordered items within 2 working days. This delivery time is however only indicative and GDI nv is not responsible for unpredictable delays of the transport company.
Force majeure suspends the delivery period and in no case entitles the customer to compensation.
If an ordered item cannot be delivered, the contract will be legally terminated and the payment refunded.
Article 6: Complaints or disputes
Complaints or disputes must be reported by the customer by email within 2 days of delivery.
Complaints regarding visible defects, damage during transport and defects related to the delivered quantities must be reported within 24 hours by e-mail and are no longer admissible 24 hours after delivery. Please send photos of the package, of the damage along with the complaint. Goods are considered accepted 24 hours after delivery.
In the event of non-conformity of the delivery or in the event of an admissible and well-founded complaint concerning verbal defects, the seller can at the most be obliged to exchange the goods. Any liability of the seller shall be limited to the amount actually paid for the order and the seller shall not be liable for any compensation, nor shall any other penalty be imposed on him. The vendor’s liability cannot be invoked when the non-fulfillment of his obligations is due to cases of force majeure, such as war, riots, partial or general strike, partial or general lock-out, infectious diseases, operational accidents, fire, etc.
Article 7: Risk transfer
The transfer of risk due to loss or damage shall take place with regard to the private consumer at the time of delivery. With regard to the business customer, the transfer of risk takes place at the time of dispatch from the Seller’s warehouses. Upon receipt of the goods, the Customer must check the packages for damage and indicate any damage or irregularities on the delivery note of the carrier, failing which the packages shall be deemed to have been delivered free of any transport damage.
Article 8: Retention of title
The articles remain the exclusive property of GDI nv until complete payment by the customer. The ordered articles will only be shipped/delivered, after full payment by the customer.
Article 9: Right of withdrawal
The provisions of this article apply only to customers who, in their capacity as consumers, purchase items online from veganlifestyle.be, GDI nv. The Customer has the right to withdraw from the agreement within a period of 14 calendar days without stating reasons. The withdrawal period expires 14 calendar days after the day on which the Customer or a third party designated by the Customer, other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the item.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must inform GDI S.A. of its decision to withdraw from the agreement by an unequivocal statement by e-mail ([email protected]).
In order to comply with the withdrawal period, the customer must send his notice concerning his exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.The customer must return or hand over the items to GDI nv at his own expense without delay, but in any case no later than 14 calendar days from the day on which he communicated his decision to withdraw from the contract to GDI nv.
The customer is on time if he returns the items before the period of 14 calendar days has expired. For the step-by-step plan of returning items, please refer to the return policy of GDI nv.
If the returned item is in any way diminished in value or damaged, GDI nv reserves the right to hold the customer liable and claim compensation for any diminution in the value of the item.
Only items that have not been opened and that are in their original, intact packaging, together with all accessories, instructions for use can be returned. Therefore, an opened package will not allow the customer to renounce the purchase.
If the customer rescinds the agreement, GDI nv will refund the payment received from the customer, excluding delivery costs, within a maximum of 14 calendar days after GDI nv has received the rescinded item back and after verification that the item is in its original, unopened and intact packaging.
GDI nv will reimburse the customer with a transfer to the customer’s bank account; in any case, the customer will not be charged for such reimbursement.
The customer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal for:
- the delivery of goods manufactured according to the customer’s specifications, or which are clearly intended for a
- The delivery of goods that spoil quickly or have a limited shelf life;
- the delivery of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and whose seal has been broken after delivery.
Article 10: Warranty
Under the Act of September 21, 2004 on the protection of consumers in the sale of consumer goods, the consumer has legal rights. This legal warranty applies from the date of delivery to the first owner. Any commercial warranty does not affect these rights.
To invoke the warranty, the customer must be able to present proof of purchase. Customers are advised to keep the original packaging of the goods.
For items purchased online and delivered to the customer’s home, the customer must contact GDI nv and return the item to GDI nv at its expense.
If a defect is discovered, the customer must inform the GDI nv customer service department as soon as possible. In any case any defect must be reported by the customer within 14 calendar days of its discovery. Afterwards all rights to repair or replacement expire.
The commercial and/or legal warranty shall never apply to defects caused by accidents, negligence, falls, use of the item contrary to the purpose for which it was designed, failure to comply with the instructions for use or manual, alterations or modifications to the item, heavy-handed use, poor maintenance, or any other abnormal or incorrect use. Defects that become apparent after a period of 1 month following the date of purchase, or delivery if applicable, are not considered to be hidden defects, unless proven otherwise by the customer.

Article 12: Privacy
The person responsible for the info processing, GDI nv, respects the Belgian law of December 8, 1992 regarding the protection of private life in the processing of personal data.
The personal data communicated by the customer will only be used for the execution and processing of orders, the management of the customer file and the sending of direct marketing, in the sense that the customer file is used by GDI nv to keep the customers informed of promotions and novelties and to send the customer personalized offers.
The customer has a legal right to inspect and possibly correct his personal data. Subject to proof of identity (copy of identity card), the customer can obtain written notification of his personal data free of charge by means of a written, dated and signed request to GDI nv. If necessary, the customer can also ask for any incorrect, incomplete, or irrelevant data to be corrected.
In case of use of data for direct marketing: the customer may object, free of charge, to the use of his data for direct marketing. To this end, the customer can always contact GDI S.A. at e-mail address [email protected]
We treat customer data as confidential information and will not pass it on, rent or sell it to third parties. The customer is responsible for keeping his login data confidential and for the use of his password. The password of the customer is stored in encrypted form, GDI has no access to it.
GDI nv keeps anonymous online visitor statistics to be able to see which pages of the website are visited and to what extent. If the customer has questions about this privacy statement, the customer can contact GDI nv via e-mail at [email protected]
During a visit to the www.veganlifestyle.be site, “cookies” may be placed on the customer’s computer hard drive. A cookie is a text file that is placed by a website’s server in your computer’s browser or on your mobile device when you consult a website. Cookies cannot be used to identify individuals, a cookie can only identify a machine.
Article 14: Affectation of validity – non-waivers
If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid, unlawful or void, this shall not in any way affect the validity, legality and applicability of the remaining provisions. The failure at any time by GDI S.A. to enforce any of the rights enumerated in these terms and conditions, or to exercise any of these rights, shall never be deemed a waiver of such provision and shall not affect the validity of these rights.
Article 15: Amendment of conditions
These terms and conditions are supplemented by other terms and conditions explicitly referred to and the general terms and conditions of sale of GDI nv In case of contradiction, the present conditions shall prevail.
Article 16: Proof
The customer accepts that electronic communications and backups may be used as evidence.
Article 17: Applicable law – Disputes
These terms and conditions are governed solely by Belgian law. All disputes between the customer and GDI nv (veganlifestyle.be) will be exclusively handled by the Commercial Court of Ghent, the Court of First Instance of Bruges or by the Justice of the Peace of Ostend.
